Robert E. Lee was a hero to the slave owning community and abhorrent to the
slaves in bondage.
Adolph Hitler was a hero to the fascist community and abhorrent to the
Jewish population.
Each is guilty of sending thousands of young citizens to their
pointless deaths in the last stages of a lost war.
A true historical monument would depict their heinous acts.
