The
Trump election and the general tide of populism rising across the
developed nations are the initial notes of the funeral dirge for my
oft referred to, "end of the work to consume economic model".
The
confused anger of the dispossessed of that system found their voice
by voting for a snake oil salesman. Promise to do everything and do
nothing. This to shall pass and a new synthesis will emerge, probably
a new, tech generated wealth sharing social model.
The
question is, will the transition be peaceful? History indicates that
it will not be. Vested interest go to the wall to defend their
privileges and perks. (See the late great Nicholas and Alexandra.)
