As
a believer in a strong and effective two party system I would hope
that both parties would be more representative of the diverse sectors
of our nation. When a political party falls under the control of a minority of
special interests, broad based representation is the first victim.
By allowing money interests to trump voter interests, we are headed
down a crooked path. Mr. Santorum's observation is most relevant to
this subject

care about them.” They still don’t care, and the darkening events
of what looks to be an autumn of catastrophic failure by a Congress
