Anti Trump Campaign

I have contracted out my anti Trump crusade. The Donald Inc., the soul bidder, has taken over the task of destroying the brand.

Wilmington Cardboard Recycling Alert

Recent changes in policy now allow, sized to fit blue bin, clean corrugated cardboard to be recycled with other materials curbside. This is in addition to the landfill and city dumpster sites.
Please pass the word.

White Evangelicals Vote

As a nonsectarian observer I am confused by the below scenario. I will not judge the acts but I do judge the character and honesty of those whom appear to be either confused or hypocritical. One could assume that a vote is a statement of values.
The headline: White evangelicals voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump, exit polls show.
Christian wedding vow: Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her as long as you both shall live?
Trump record: He kept his vows for awhile with Ivana.
Trump kept his vows for awhile with Marla.
Trump is on his third try to keep her as long they both shall live.

Christian view on the lie: May be used to save a life.
Trump view on lying: May be used to make a deal, get elected or debase others.

Christian view on caring for others: Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Trump view on caring for others: Love only your white Anglo-Saxon neighbor as thyself.

A Christian view on women: The Bible rightly exalts women against cultures that distort, degrade, and debase them.
Trump view: I grab them by their genitals.

1917 All Over Again

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

Herr Marx did not live long enough to see that, despite the teachings of various deities, humankind has not evolved sufficiently accept this social premise.
We are now on the doorstep of another test of political-social adaptive ability.
From each digitally controlled automaton according to its labor capacity to each former laborer according needs”
Will greed win again? I'm betting there will be battles on the streets to etermine the outcome.

Speaker Ryan, DUH!

Ryan is touting the fact that his health plan, while reducing service, will include $337 billion in deficit reduction over ten years. This is pocket change. Reducing defense service by half would save $2.62 Trillion with a T over ten years. Reducing the Veterans service budget by half would save $910 Billion.
If the government won't provide services for its citizens that they cannot provide for themselves individually what's the point of the exercise?
There is an alternate means to decrease the deficit, but that would require a bit of pain and suffering on the congressional paymaster's part.

Speculation

The Trump election and the general tide of populism rising across the developed nations are the initial notes of the funeral dirge for my oft referred to, "end of the work to consume economic model".
The confused anger of the dispossessed of that system found their voice by voting for a snake oil salesman. Promise to do everything and do nothing. This to shall pass and a new synthesis will emerge, probably a new, tech generated wealth sharing social model.
The question is, will the transition be peaceful? History indicates that it will not be. Vested interest go to the wall to defend their privileges and perks. (See the late great Nicholas and Alexandra.)

Enemy of the State er uh People

The most powerful office in the country also has the loudest and most attended to voice in the country. Usually the checks and balances of our governmental system can act to moderate that power. However, when the both houses of Congress are of the same political party as the executive, there is little moderation of presidential dictates and the people’s concerns are given short shrift.
The last line of defense to hold the government accountable for its words and actions is the freedom of the press clause of the Constitution. The path to loss of the people’s press begins when the powerful react to criticism by claiming that provable facts are lies and that lies are alternate facts. This is accomplished by spinning ever-larger untruths. The intensity of anti-press campaigns increases as the powerful feel increased pressure.
In extreme cases the leader will do a Joseph Goebbels and believe that: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Rampant Voter Fraud In Ohio

Trump Could Have Won Bigger
It's a huge, huge scandal. If it wasn't for massive voter fraud Trump would have won a huge, huge popular vote in Ohio.
Unless, of course, those masses of vile and illegal scoundrels voted for him.
To wit: Adams, Fayette and Ross all were found to have at least one non-citizen registered to vote, and in two cases votes were cast in the last five years, according to Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted
This brings the total number of non-citizens on Ohio’s voter rolls Secretary Husted has been able to identify using available resources to 821, with 126 of those individuals having actually cast ballots.”
