A government of the people............

Not an easy task with these types of people.
From the Dayton paper
Dayton police were called to an altercation among multiple adults at a youth basketball game for 7-year-olds Wednesday night, according to a Dayton Police report.
The altercation occurred around 6 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton on West Stewart Avenue. The two victims, a 35-year-old male and 17-year-old male, stated that a coach for the other team began arguing with the victims’ wife and mother, which prompted them to intervene.
Upon approaching the other coach, the two victims were punched in the face by the suspects and then a group of at least six other people joined the fight and assaulted the victims, according to the report.

The 35-year-old victim suffered severe facial wounds, a swollen left eye and a broken nose. The suspects left the rec center after the brawl. There have been no arrests.”

How's The Local Economy Doing

Question: How can we know that the community's economic status has seen better days?
Answer # 1. When a new, usary (Rent To Own*) store is coming to town” announcement makes headlines in the local paper.
Answer # 2. When Dollar stores outnumber pizza shops.
Answer # 3 When the local elite shop at big box department stores.
Answer #4 When over 50% of students in two school district buildings are on food stamps.

*Here's how it works: For example, you can rent-to-own an LG 42-inch plasma TV for as little as $22.99 a week. You can return the TV any time if you don't want to keep it. But in order to own it, you need to make 78 payments or a total of $1,793. That compares to a retail price of $446 on Amazon.com. http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/07/pf/rent-to-own/

Annexation The Gift That Keeps On Giving

The latest annexation by Wilmington of the 200 acres Williams property fronting on Rombach Ave. and Davids Dr. is another case of the city paying Union township for the privilege of taking over the responsibility for maintaining infrastructure, and fire protection. To date and in the future tens of thousands of dollars have and will flow into township coffers. The city is, in effect, bribing the trustees to agree to allow a transfer of jurisdiction. An action that, if tested, need not be taken. One day in the not too distant future Union township will consist of little more a very rich small enclave on the edge of the city.
